Back up your Knowledge Box

The backup and restore feature is a managed service designed to protect your data from unwanted modifications or deletions. It provides a reliable way to capture the full state of a Knowledge Box, ensuring data integrity and security.

For small Knowledge Boxes, the import/export data feature may be sufficient. However, for larger Knowledge Boxes or when a complete state capture is required (Knowledge Box configuration + Knowledge Box resources), using the backup and restore service is recommended.

Using the API or SDK, you can create, retrieve, delete, and restore backups.

Both backup creation and restoration are asynchronous processes. Once you make a request, if it is successful, the operation will continue in the background.

The backup and restore service is only available to enterprise users on the hosted deployment and is not currently supported for on-premise installations.
