Activity Logs

Activity logs provide detailed records of actions and events within your Nuclia knowledge box. These logs are useful for monitoring usage, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining security.

Information Stored in Activity Logs

Activity logs capture a wide range of events, including:

  • Resources Processed: Records of resources that have been processed.
  • Resources Created: Logs of newly created resources.
  • Resources Edited: Details of modifications made to existing resources.
  • Questions & Generative Answers: Documentation of questions asked and answers generated.
  • Queries: Information on queries made within the knowledge box.
  • User Feedback: Feedback submitted by users.
  • Nuclia Tokens: Any billable usage generated by an individual event

Each log entry includes a timestamp of when the event occurred and the user who triggered the event.

About Nuclia Tokens

When tracking Nuclia token usage, please keep the following points in mind:

  • Slight Delay in Token Availability Token usage is collected asynchronously, meaning there may be a delay of a few minutes between when an event appears in the activity log and when the corresponding Nuclia tokens are available for review. If you need to check usage immediately, please take this delay into account.

  • Differences Between Ask Metadata and Activity Logs The Nuclia tokens shown in the ask metadata response only reflect usage from generative models. However, the activity logs account for all usage triggered by a request, e.g. including embeddings costs if an external model (such as Gecko) is used.

  • Minor Variations in Usage Tracking In most cases, the usage data in activity logs will align closely with the figures shown on the dashboard’s account management page. However, minor discrepancies may occur, particularly when adjustments are made to pricing or usage models. While these differences are typically minimal, they may be noticeable if tracking usage down to the last decimal. We recommend using Nuclia tokens found activity logs only for cost analysis per request.
